Esscobar in Cottbus

Very nice shop with friendly service and a friendly boss. The food was very good and important also vegetarian and vegan and very tasty.

Eaten excellent. Very nice welcome and attentive service. Anytime again 👍. A good cook works in the kitchen 👏👏👏

We sat outside by the church and had a pleasant afternoon. The food, bruscetta and feta cheese in tomato, were okay so far, even if they were very different from the Italian. The boss had apparently had a good day, because although we are not Cottbusers, he was friendly and courteous (based on other reviews). We enjoyed the location in the middle of the city and still not in the hustle and bustle of the Altmarkt with a view of the Sprem. The non-alcoholic drink was delicious.

Incredible selection of exotic spirits plus specialist knowledge of which ones. You sing in Cuban flair. Simply great.

The food is outstanding, the staff is courteous without being pushy. The cocktails are super mixed and delicious. Always worth a visit.

Once and never again. Impossible boss who has apparently not yet understood that the customer finances his business and that there is also competition that can be managed better.

While looking for a cozy restaurant, we came across the Esscobar. Warmly welcomed at first, but after a short while there was a budding bad mood. Triggered by the male service staff, later highlighted as the owner. We were very intrusively made clear that we would like to order the coffee variations in the original language (Spanish), as well as the Licor 43. As if this wasn't enough, he insinuously insinuated that we "stole" a liqueur glass, even though he cleared this glass a few minutes ago. After we denied this in horror, he said, in an ironic, almost sarcastic undertone, that we only wanted to invite us and put the almost empty bottle 43 on our table. When the bill was paid, another service person came to our table to check the amount that we had on the card provided. Something unfriendly has never happened to us before and this restaurant is definitely not recommended. Apparently people from foreign cities are undesirable and are viewed with great skepticism and treated accordingly. The statement "back out the glass" was an outrageous assumption and only a brief explanation of what happened. Guests should never be treated in this way. But apparently the owner has no real understanding of what it means to be a host. Pity!

We were in Cottbus over New Year's Eve and visited the Esscobar. Yesterday, for the first time in a long time, we never ate together again. Appetizer, main course and dessert were super interesting and not standard in taste. The hospitality and the boss were super friendly, funny and authentically real. We can only recommend going in here and eating something. 14 stars ⭐️ out of 5! Great.

The seats were excellent cleaned and the seating was extremely comfortable. The food was not the only thing that amazed in this inn! I really try new places and I'm always looking for new restaurants, but I'll stay true to this place. The waiters are always very eager and thoroughly friendly! It is consistently fine and we had a wonderful afternoon here.

A very nice restaurant with excellent cuisine.

I was in Cottbus on business and had lunch there with a business partner. The food was really excellent and is unreservedly recommended. This does not apply to the boss who had an outrageous and cheeky appearance. In my hometown, he would not last three months with this species. I would like to forego an exemplary list of impertinence here. There are already enough other reviews in this regard. Pity for the good food but I will not stop here.
